I’ve worked for Tesco for many years and they have rarely given a pay raise that matches inflation at the time.. as such I and most employees like me, have suffered a real terms pay cut over the years and it’s not fair given the huge profits Tesco make

Yes everyone needs a pay rise thing is the more others get a pay rise taxes go up how is the average Shop worker who isn’t getting a pay rise meant to afford the increasing tax when working on days full-time after tax. You take home between 14 and 15,000. Some of the people who are striking or earning 10 grand more than us, and they are struggling to feed their families. Keep up with rent, mortgages car payments, gas electric, so if they can’t afford it how are shop workers meant to afford it, but from what I hear we’re not allowed to strike because it’s peoples human right to eat, so we will just get shafted with higher taxes and left a struggle with shopworkers

Yes, at least a 15% pay rise this year. Tesco is putting the price of grocery items up by 50% in some cases. Everything else we have to pay out for to live is also rising! We need a double figures percentage pay rise just to keep our heads above water.

I only earn 12,000 at Tesco and am finding it more difficult to live a normal life. We have candles instead of lights I have to buy value food and am still not being able to pay all my energy bill. We are short staffed yet Tesco has taken on Evri parcel service, electric meter top up and we are soon getting Whoosh delivery service. All on the same wage as before these new things came along. Slave labour. Yet they are raking in the profit😡

Yes! My electricity bill was £398 which is almost half my wage, so with my £500 and £125 council tax, I have £17 to live off in February

Yes 100% . The cost of living is going out of control and the wages are not keeping up. With all this money they have made since covid all employees should get a descent pay rise instead of it going to share holders and top management and the ceo.
