The personal tax allowance, 12500 affects all workers and also pensioners. Many people of state pension age will newly fall into paying tax because of the rises in pension amount in a year. It was originally thought this wouldn't happen until 2027... 
But it's happening earlier because this current personal tax allowance is frozen. Let's have fairness in taxation. The tax allowance should be static, but should rise along the line of inflation. Otherwise the tax treshold catches many more low paid or pension reliant people.
