I know someone who works from them and their medical condition is sometimes aggravated by the temperature inside the store being very hot or very cold which causes his seizures . As a result he has been taken to hospital several times and had his days pay from him, but if the working conditions were correct he would not have been taken to hospital.

I never got ANY paid paternity leave, but paid maternity leave is now a recognised legal right, and M&S should accept this

People with hidden disabilities get discriminated against at M & S. They even lose pay if they are absent due to their disability on more than one occasion in a thirteen week period. I’ve even witnessed a black woman standing on someone’s head when they were having a seizure, but if they stood on her head it would be perceived to be sexual and racial discrimination.

Full pay for 14 weeks is better than some other employers.

Remember M&S is not a bottomless pit andJohn Lewis have their own set of problems , If you plan a familyrealise that it is amajor on cost .Many older mothers received relativell nothing in benefits --dontbe greedy andsave for the pleasure rather than expect employer to provide everything --- there is no straightforward answer and needs discussing properly
