John Lewis and Waitrose were built on a powerful idea: that workers should be Partners, sharing in both profits and decision-making. For years, the bonus wasn’t just a nice extra — it was a key part of what made this job different. It showed that our hard work was valued, that we were all in this together.<br /><br />But now? Things are changing — and not for the better.<br /><br />In 2025, the Partnership made £97 million in profit — a 73% increase. And yet, for the third year in a row, we got no bonus. That’s five years without a real bonus for many of us. Instead, the company said the money would go to investments and pay rises. But many of us feel the core idea of the Partnership is being lost.

Bring Back the Bonus for John Lewis Partners!

As a previous John Lewis employee I am shocked and saddened that partners have been denied their bonus for so long, despite the company reporting profits. John Lewis was always different from other retailers and the staff are a key part of this. Please recognise the hard work your staff are doing to help the company achieve its profits.

I totally agree the partners are working twice as hard and nothing to show for it. Cost of living is not a pay rise, we haven’t had a pay rise in a few years. John Lewis has seemed to have lost its core values when it comes to the partners. Partners do not have a say in the business anymore snd do not feel valued.

Waitrose

The partnership demonstrated how a company worked in harmony with its loyal staff. We as loyal customers see this move as a betrayal of the values of the company brand. Please restore the bonus and show your customers that you value your staff as we value you.

As a former Waitrose staff member, fully support this, it is the commitment and hard work of staff that makes John Lewis the successful company it is and you deserve to share equally in the profits of the company

Am amazed that such a store with its reputation for fair pricing as no such thing for fair wages and bonuses. I may consider no longer being a customer
