I have long term health problems and i've been in hospital twice. I push myself to carry on going to work as can't afford to be off. No sick pay for 3 days then just statutory sick pay. This causes me stress and anxiety when I'm meant to be looking after myself. The system is unfair as I and my colleagues can't help having health issues.

Disgusting. If American companies buy UK business they should have to fall in line with what it done in the UK. I don't want someone breathing their germs on me when I collect my necessary medicines. I remember at the height of Covid two Boots shops in my town had to completely shut because everyone was sick and they had no replacements because they were sick too. This is the kind of problem brought about by this inhuman American rule.

Employees being unable to take time off work when sick is bad for everyone including the employer. American companies need to be shown that their employment practices will not be tolerated outside their own country.

Not only is this discriminatory against those with chronic health conditions and reflecting a lack of decency to all, there’s also a wider public health issue of having sick people working in public facing roles. Plus, as a business model you don’t want your employees turning in sick and infecting their colleagues!

The whole sickness structure is wrong, long term sick after two day's off? No pay for 3 day's if you are ill more then a couple of time's a year! It's a chemist and pharmacy, so staff are constantly in contact with sickness. It's just wrong.

We don't want to be sick. Anyone on contract should be paid fairly. These companies don't give a foof about the employee's welfare
